Footsteps of Peace return to The Klein

The Klein is extremely proud to announce the return of Footsteps of Peace, a highly acclaimed concert, featuring musician Joel A. Martin along with other renowned artists. This extraordinary event will take place on Friday, April 28th at 8 PM. Among the artists scheduled to perform are: Multiple Grammy Award recipient Eugene Friesen, cellist; Jolie Rocke Brown, gospel jazz singer; Sharon Clark, jazz vocalist, and Bridgeport native Rick Reyes, guitarist and master of the Puerto Rican Songbook.

Special guest artist: Roshay and AJ, a 18-year-old Puerto Rican rap duo from Holyoke MA with a positive "Stop The Violence" message that has over 900k views in Facebook.

Each year Footsteps of Peace pays tribute to a world humanitarian. This April we honor Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and Civil Rights activist, Thurgood Marshall. Justice Marshall was the first African-American Justice of the Supreme Court and was extremely instrumental in ending legal segregation.

This show has the potential at this particular time of need to bring the community of Bridgeport together. In addition to the concert, The Klein is also conducting an essay contest through the Bridgeport Public Schools. Students who submit a 1-page essay on the personal meaning of civil rights and racial equality will receive 2 free tickets to the concert. Judges will select four students to be awarded $100 scholarships.
