The Connecticut Master Chorale is holding auditions for spring season


The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, is holding auditions are currently for their upcoming Spring season. Their spring concert will feature two major works: "Misa a Buenos Aires (Misatango)" by Martin Palmeri Palmeri’s unique tribute to his country combines the rhythm and melodic design of the tango with the traditional Latin Mass text and creates exciting sacred music for today. "The Gift of Life" by John Rutter Written in his seventieth birthday year, this long-awaited new work is a choral celebration of the living earth, of creation, and of life itself. Offering a kaleidoscope of moods, with colorful text settings and beautiful lyric melodies, this is Mr. Rutter at his best! The concert will be held on April 2, 2017 at 3PM at the First Congregational Church of Danbury. The Chorale will be accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra and joined by Mezzo-soprano soloist Wendy Gerbier.
