THE GIFT OF LIFE PROGRAM Presentation at Bridgeport Rotary on Tuesday
BRIDGEPORT: THE GIFT OF LIFE PROGRAM, which began in 1975, is today a worldwide Rotary International Service Program. Its primary purpose is to help those needy children who require corrective heart surgery secure another lease on life through the miracle of open-heart surgery in a Gift of Life Participating Hospital. Mary Griffin, Newtown Rotary President and Larry Gardner, District Governor nominee (Newtown) will conduct the presentation.
The Rotary Club of Bridgeport is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in the world. In more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, members volunteer in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.
The Rotary Club of Bridgeport meets on Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn. For more information about the Rotary Club of Bridgeport, contact Carolyn Vermont, Vice-President of Programs, at 203-685-5709.
