Historical Society to Discuss World War I Impact on Bridgeport with Carolyn Ivanoff
The Bridgeport Community Historical Society will feature “Bridgeport: The Great War and the Striking Summer of 1915” with Carolyn Ivanoff at its meeting on Tuesday,
March 29, at 6:30 PM in the North Branch Library, 3455 Madison Avenue. This program showcases many of the factories on the East Side, Remington, GE, the munitions industry in Bridgeport, the winning of the eight-hour work day and the ending of child labor in 1915.
