Missouri Signs Alex Taulien to Amateur Try Out

INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURIThe Missouri Mavericks announced Saturday morning that defenseman, Matt Finn, has been reassigned by the New York Islanders—the Mavs’ National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

Finn, 22, has played twenty games in a Mavericks sweater this season, contributing 7 goals and 6 assists towards Missouri’s campaign—which has officially claimed the first spot in the 2016 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The Mavericks have signed forward Alex Taulien to an amateur try out (ATO) contract. The 6’4”, 218lb forward hails from Crystal Lake, IL and spent the past three years with Elmira College (NCAA III). Through sixteen games this season, Taulien put up 14 points (7G,7A). He will wear number 49 for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks play their next game at home on Sunday, Mar. 6 against the Tulsa Oilers, and it’s Faith & Family Night! Fans can enjoy the pre-game performance of 9th Hour outside the main entrance and the performance of the Eastside Worship band on the ice during the post-game skate with the team. Pre-register for the post-game skate at the Ticket Table behind section 109 on the arena concourse. $5 with skate rental, $2 with your own skates. Space is limited!

Puck drop is scheduled for 4:05p.m. at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
